The book you are about to read is a story about the community, friendship, hope, and bravery that encircled a little Jewish girl growing up in the Nazi Third Reich. Eva Goldberg was born and raised in Görlitz where she had a beautiful childhood until the regime ripped her reality apart. Her father Max Goldberg gifted her a beautifully bound "Poesie Book" to help little Eva cope with this fast changing world around her. Within its pages, Eva was able to capture a physical memory of her friends and family, some of whom the world is extremely familiar with today, such as Anne Frank. In this book you will follow the incredible journey of the Goldberg family - their escape, their struggle, and their new life. By reading the pages of this book, you are helping to keep the memory and the story of each of these amazing people alive. May each one be a blessing to you.
