Laura Arnett Smith earned a Master of Science in communication studies at the University of Tennessee, where she was the director of the public speaking program. She is a faculty member in the Communication Studies departments of Columbia State Community College and Pellissippi State Community College. She is the owner and founder of J&L Training Institute, an organization that develops curriculum and leads courses in person and online for individuals and organizations. Laura is also a genealogist, historian, life and career coach, and co-owner of and designer for a home remodeling business.
