It uses examples taken from the media (TV, newspapers, magazines), public school textbooks, advertisements, as well as from the best comic strips (such as Calvin and Hobbes, and Doonesbury), cartoons from "New Yorker" magazine and the best political cartoonists (for example, Levine and Tom Toles).
