John Tayman is an author, editor and publisher who has been nominated for 19 National Magazine Awards. His first book The Colony, a narrative history of America’s only leper colony, was a bestseller. He has been editor-at-large of The New York Times Sports magazine, Men’s Journal and GQ, deputy editor of Outsidemagazine and editorial creative director of Men’s Health. He also founded of digital publisher Byliner, and served as Editor-in-Residence at Silicon Valley venture capital firm True Ventures.
