John Powers is a Professor of Religion in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Deakin University, Australia. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Humanities and the author of seventeen books and more than 100 academic articles and book chapters, including A Bull of A Man: Images of Masculinity, Sex, and the Body in Indian Buddhism and The Buddha Party: How the Chinese Communist Party Works to Control Tibetan Buddhism. David Templeman is an Adjunct Researcher at both Monash and LaTrobe Universities in Australia. He has authored several books, including most recently Asian Horizons: Giuseppe Tucci’s Buddhist, Indian, Himalayan and Central Asian Studies. as well as 60 book chapters. He is completing a translation of the Autobiography of Tāranātha a 16-17th cent. Tibetan prelate.
