Sexuality Counselling

This book presents an overview of the field of sexuality counselling. The authors have drawn upon the expertise of eleven educators and practitioners to present sexuality counselling as an interaction in which a health professional aids clients in exploring and understanding their own sexuality, feelings, values, responsibilities, needs, behaviour and interpersonal relationships. Each chapter addresses a specific set of issues that can affect an individual's sexuality. Short case studies provide relevant examples and points for discussion. An appendix contains sample cases/examples, with questions for class discussion, referenced by chapter. This book should be of interest to degree and diploma students in departments of counsellor education, psychology, human services, social work and nursing.
