Wortbildungswandel

In recent years, changes in individual word-formation patterns as well as in the broader system of German word formation have been the subject of considerable attention in German linguistics. Using the example of nominalization patterns, this monograph proposes a cognitive-linguistic and constructionist theory of word-formation change and also discusses methodological approaches to studying morphological change. Der Wandel einzelner Wortbildungsmuster wie auch des deutschen Wortbildungssystems ingesamt erfährt in der germanistischen Linguistik seit einigen Jahren verstärkte Aufmerksamkeit. Am Beispiel deutscher Nominalisierungsmuster entwirft diese Monographie eine kognitiv-linguistisch und konstruktionsgrammatisch orientierte Theorie des Wortbildungswandels und diskutiert zudem methodische Ansätze zur Untersuchung morphologischen Wandels.
