Drawing on the most cutting-edge research in CBT, MI, and more, "Evidence-Based Treatments for Substance Use and Addictive Disorders" provides the clinician and student with an up-to-date understanding of the epidemiology, etiology, course, and prognosis of substance use disorder that is relevant to clinical practice. Clinical cases are presented to illustrate assessment and treatment delivery, and the authors give special attention to mindfulness-based approaches as well as to complicating factors associated with treatment delivery and specific populations, including patients with PTSD, personality, and other disorders. Throughout the book, emphasis is on empirical-based therapeutic methods that aid the clinician in deciding which treatment will match the patient s needs."
