"The purpose is to present new concepts based on contemporary psychodynamic theory to help clinicians better understand and approach young patients in psychotherapy, and to provide a source of information on contemporary psychodynamic theory that they might apply in clinical practice. The audience includes child and adolescent psychiatry trainees, as well as experienced clinicians, clinical psychologists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and social workers. ... There are not enough books on this subject, and this one is well researched and current." (Nikita Pant, Doody's Book Reviews, July, 2015)
