Theodori Scutariotae Chronica

This volume presents the first critical edition of the anonymous world chronicle titled Chronica which gives a condensed account of events from Adam up to the death of the Byzantine Emperor Alexios I Komnenos (ruled 1081–1118). The introduction includes a discussion of the relationship of the Chronica to the Synopsis chronike of Theodoros Skutariotes (13th century), and the Chronica is shown to be a preliminary by Theodoros to the Synopsis chronike. Im vorliegenden Band wird die anonym überlieferte Weltchronik mit dem Titel Chronica , die in gedrängter Form über die Ereignisse von Adam bis zum Tod des byzantinischen Kaisers Alexios I. Komnenos (Reg. 1081?1118) berichtet, erstmals kritisch ediert. In der Einleitung wird u.a. ihr Verhältnis zur Synopsis chronike des Theodoros Skutariotes (13. Jahrhundert) diskutiert und die Chronica als Vorarbeit des Theodoros zur Synopsis chronike ausgewiesen.
