Zorko the Bard, has lost Zina, his beloved, in a brutal abduction. He is extremely unhappy and utterly destroyed. In his pain and sorrow about Zina's loss, he is adamant to get her back. He plays his guitar and composes his love-ballad with which he intends to move heaven and earth to get his love, Zina, back again. A shepherd points his way to the caves of the Dark Mountain, where he may find the kingdom of Iceland. Zorko plays and sings his love ballad and the mountain lets him access the magical world of Queen Nora and King Noro. His heart-tearing song had moved the subjects of Iceland, the King, and the Queen. Having received sympathy for his course of action, the Queen's personal gift will help the Bard to get Zina back. Zorko's journey along the winding road to the Netherland will be tough and dangerous. He is tenacious, driven by hope and the only goal, to get Zina back again. Through help from the Queen of Amazons, Zorko will be again on his way to the Tyrant Hinod, where Zina is kept as a prisoner. His final performance at the Tyrant has to be his best. Will the poet be successful?

The author, born in eastern Austria, had been working as a designer, artist, and architect in Europe and in Africa of the South. The art of the San people influenced his own artistic work. Meeting a great variety of people during his travels, he worked with various firms building clinics and hospitals in Swaziland. After some years working on his own, he met a friend, who took him to a workshop for literary work, where he found his love for poetry and novel writing, with a special interest in mythology. Furthermore, visiting the famous caves of Southern Africa, kindled his fantasy and spurred on his interest for poetry in a ballad form. While painting in Greece, he had an opportunity for a successful exhibition about mythological themes. Returning to Austria, he worked on his short books, he calls 'Poetic Lore'. This book has been the first original in the series, which will be available in both languages, English and German.
