The aim of this book is to focus on the role of sports technology and the way that the innovation process is managed. This will help understand how technology is developed and integrated into the sports context. This is important particularly due to rapid technological advancements developed in sport being applied to other industries. Vanessa Ratten is Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at La Trobe Business School, Australia. She has previously been on the faculty of Duquesne University, USA. Deakin University, Queensland University of Technology, and the University of Queensland, Australia. She is on the editorial boards of journals including Journal of Business Research, European Management Journal, and International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business. She has published extensively on the subjects of sport entrepreneurship, sport innovation and technology innovation.
