Designers and architects thus have a special role and responsibility. For they are the ones who decide what materials will be used on their projects and thus wield enormous influence on the sustainability of our product world. Dr. Sascha Peters is a qualified engineer and designer; he works as a materials consultant and is chief executive officer of the firm haute production. He is the author of the Handbuch für technisches Produktdesign and also writes the materials column for the design journal form.
