This book studies the urban logistics system from the perspective of reliability, based on the theory of urban logistics and system reliability, with the research of urban logistics system reliability as the main line, with matter element analysis and ant colony algorithm as the main research tools.  On this basis, this book closely focuses on the connotation, influencing factors, measurement, optimization, and other issues of the reliability of urban logistics systems.  By analyzing the influencing factors and constituent contents of the reliability of urban logistics system, the reliability measurement is researched, and the reliability optimization model of urban logistics system is established, which is suitable for popular science reading or in-depth study by readers with a certain foundation.

Hao Zhang, Ph.D in engineering, Professor, deputy director of science and Technology Department, doctor, Professor, doctoral supervisor. Academic leader of supply chain management in the school of e-commerce and logistics of Beijing Technology and Business University (BTBU). Dr. Zhang is the member and special research fellow of China Logistics Association, the senior member of Chinese Society of Optimization and Overall Planning Economical Mathematics, the winner of "youth top individual project" in Beijing and also enjoys membership both in Systems Engineering Society of China and Operations Research Society of China. He participates in International E-Commerce Association (Chinese branch) as a councilor and takes part in China Food Safety Research Center of BTBU, Capital Flow Circulation Research Center and Enterprise Growth and Innovation Research Center as a committee member. His research interests include: supply chain and logistics management, digital management, modeling and simulation of complex systems. Dr. Zhang teaches courses of modelling of supply chain systems, simulation of management system, models and methods of management decision, project management and management economics in both undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA, MPACC and international MBA level. Dr. Zhang has participated in more than ten national and provincial research projects such as National Social Science Fund Project, Beijing Philosophy and Social Science Project. He also took part in more than 50 projects commissioned by government departments or large enterprises. More than 50 papers were published in journals at home and abroad, 30 of them were indexed by SCI, EI, CSSCI and CSCD. He has published following monographs and teaching materials: "city logistics system reliability optimization research", "enterprise strategic synergy mechanism optimization" and "management science research model and method", “City Commercial Block Logistics Solutions”, “Bluebook of China supply chain management”. He was awarded the outstanding paper award by China Society of Logistics, Beijing teaching achievement award by BTBU, "BaoGong" logistics award and Humanities and Social Sciences award by HeiLongJiang Province.
