Ranjith Dissanayake is a Senior Professor in Civil Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Prof. Dissanayake was a Fulbright Scholar in 2008 Columbia University, USA and Endeavour Fellow in 2008 Monash University Australia, JASSO Research Fellowship Ehime University, Japan in 2007. He was awarded Young Scientist Award 2007 for Excellence in Scientific Research by National Science and Technology Commission of Sri Lanka and Overseas Prize for the paper published in Institution of Civil Engineers, London, UK, 2007. He has published over 140 research articles. He was awarded Australia Alumni Excellence Award 2012. He has chaired Seven international conferences on Mitigation of the Risk of Natural Hazards (ICMRNR) of IIIRR in 2007, Sustainable Built Environment (ICSBE) in 2010, Structural Engineering, Construction and Management (ICSECM) in 2011, Sustainable Built Environment (ICSBE 2012) in 2012, Structural Engineering and Construction Management (ICSECM2013), InternationalConference on Sustainable Built Environment which will be held at Earl’s Regency Kandy Sri Lanka in 2014, which were held in Sri Lanka. He is the Chairman of the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka (GBCSL) and also a foundering member of it. He was the Chair of the 8th International Conference on Structural Engineering Construction Management which will be held at Earl’s Regency Kandy Sri Lanka in 2017 (www.icsecm.org). and 9th International Conference on Sustainable Built Environment in 2018. He is the former Head of the Department in Civil Engineering, University of Peradeniya. Priyan Mendis is a Professor in the Department of Infrastructure Engineering and the Leader of the Advanced Protective Technology of Engineering Structures Group. He was also the Convener of the ARC Research Network for a Secure Australia (RNSA) from 2004 -2011. Prof Mendis obtained his PhD from Monash University, Australia. He is also the Director of the ARC Centre for Advanced Manufacturing of Prefabricated Housing. His research interests are protective technology of structures, smart Infrastructure, design, assessment and monitoring, high-strength/High-performance concrete, seismic design of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures, design of tall buildings and bridges, disaster mitigation and management and sustainable infrastructure. He is also a member of several institutions including: Institution of Engineering, Concrete Institute of Australia and American Concrete Institute. He has authored more over 100 publications. Anura Nanayakkara is a Professor in Department of Civil Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He has specialized in concrete technology. Prof Nanayakkara obtained his PhD from University of Tokyo, Japan in 1990. He has involved research activities in Imperial college London, UK, University of Tokyo, Japan and etc in addition to various research activities in Sri Lanka. He is currently serving as a consultant in National Building Research Organization, a chairman of sectoral committee on building and constructional materials, a consultant of Coast Conservation Department. Prof. Nanayakkkara has held many positions such as member of national comities, co-chairing conferences and etc. He has published over 70 publications. He is one of the former heads of the department in department of civil engineering, University of Moratuwa. Professor Kolita Weerasekera graduated from University of Moratuwa in 1981 with a B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering. He obtained his Masters in Engineering, specialising in Transport Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia and subsequently obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering from the same university. Professor Weerasekera is a chartered engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka. He is continuously serving as a member of the Accreditation Board ofInstitution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) from December 2010 to date. IESL is a full signatory to the Washington Accord. Professor Weerasekera is also a member of the Institution of Engineers Australia, American Society of Civil Engineers, and Institution of Highways and Transport United Kingdom. As a transport expert he has contributed in many nation building projects as well. Dr.G.S.Y.De Silva completed his PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Saitama University, Japan (2008) and he obtained his M. Eng in Structural Engineering from Saitama University, Japan (2005). Also he completed his PG. Dip in Structural Engineering Design from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka (2002) after graduating his B.Sc. with First Class Honors Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka (2000) Shiromal Fernando is one of the leading structural engineers in Sri Lanka has been involved in many high rise buildings in the country, including the tallest structures. He holds the degrees B.Sc. Engineering (Hons) in Civil Engineering & MPhil Degree from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, and is also a Chartered Engineer of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka. He is a distinguished and active member of many institutions and societies of Sri Lanka such as Institution of Engineers, Society of Structural Engineers & Technical Advisory committee of Disaster Management Center, and also served as the Honorary Secretary of the Society of Structural Engineers during 2005-2008. Furthermore, he is the Vice President of the Green Building Council Sri Lanka since 2010. He is a member of the Sri Lankan Standards Institute where he is working with the committee to develop Cement and Steel standards for Sri Lanka since 2009. He is also a proud Member of American Society of Structural Engineers (ASCE).
