Dr. ?Martin Gutmann is the Managing Director and lecturer at the Swiss School of Public Governance, ETH Zurich. He is also a Professor of Leadership and International Relations at the American Graduate School of Business, Switzerland. Dr. Gutmann teaches and researches at the interface of organizational leadership, technology and the humanities.

His previous academic appointments have been in the US, Canada, Germany and Mauritius. Dr. Gutmann has consulted for a number of educational, non-profit and corporate organizations, including for the African Leadership Network and Transparency International.

Dr. Gutmann holds a Ph.D. in History from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University, USA and an Executive MBA from IE Business School, Spain. His research has appeared in prominent publications such as the History Compass, Journal of Contemporary History, Studies in Conflict and Terrorism, Journal of Modern European History, and Journal of Contemporary European History.
