Priv. Doz. Dr. Bockstahler studied Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, Austria. After some years in their own private clinic she built up the Service for Physical Therapy and Rehabilitationat the Clinic for Small Animal Surgery at the Vetmeduni Vienna. In the service small animals (mainly dogs, but also cats and other companion animals) are treated. She is also a member of the Movement Science Group. She has the Austrian degree of a specialized veterinarian for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and is Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner of the University of Tennessee. She habilitated 2009. In course of here work she published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and hold lectures all around in Europe.
David Levine, PT, PhD, DPT, Diplomate ABPTS, CCRP, Cert. DN Dr. Levine is a professor and the Walter M. Cline Chair of Excellence in Physical Therapy at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is also an adjunct associate professor at the University Of Tennessee College Of Veterinary Medicine, and an adjunct professor at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He is a co-editor of the books “Canine Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy” and “Essential Facts of Physiotherapy in Dogs and Cats”. Dr. Levine has also worked in gait analysis since 1990 and is the editor of Whittle’s Gait Analysis.
Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN. Clinical Interests – General interest is that of small animal orthopedic surgery and physical rehabilitation. Research Interests – Research interests include modulation of bone healing, osteoarthritis, and postoperative physical therapy of orthopedic patients.
