This book provides a comprehensive yet concise knowledge and understanding in the field of Two-phase separation in the T-Junction. and this book can not only contribute to the academics, but it can also provide valuable insight for the industrial use of the T-junction.

This book discusses in detail, the effect of different parameters on phase separation. These independent variables include diameter ratio, velocity ratio, individual phase velocities, side arm inclination, main arm inclination, mass split ratio, density of the working fluid, types of T-junctions used and modification in the T-Junction.

The objectives and goals of this books are concerned with the research involved with the heat transfer applications, fluid mechanics and flow transmission in the petroleum field. Currently the data from the literature indicates that there is no specific source of consistent conclusion about the multiphase phenomenon. This book can provide a database of knowledge keeping in view of all the previous studies of the recent decades. So, engineers performing their duties in their respective sector, graduate and Ph.D students in the field of engineering can get valuable information about Two Phase Separation in the T-Junction.

Faheem Ejaz is currently pursuing a fully funded Ph.D. in the Mechanical Engineering Department at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals since September 2022. His research focuses on Heat and Mass Transfer over wet fins, showcasing his dedication to advancing the field. Faheem holds a Bachelor's degree from UET Taxila and boasts four years of combined academic and industrial experience in ORIENT energy systems. In 2020, he received a scholarship offer from Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Malaysia, and graduated with distinction in 2022, achieving the Degree on Time under the supervision of Dr. William Pao. Throughout his Master's studies, Faheem conducted research on Two-Phase Separation in T-junction using CFD simulations and optimization techniques, resulting in the publication of several scholarly articles. His innovative contributions also led to the copyright claim of a project in Malaysia in 2021.

William graduated both his first and doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Wales Swansea, United Kingdom. He spent two years post-doc in his alma mater before accepting a lectureship in Swinburne Sarawak University of Technology in Malaysia. He was later received an offer to teach at Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering in the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. While in Manchester, he was head-hunted to work at SHELL Oil Company in Houston, US and then SHELL International Exploration and Production BV at Rijswijk, the Netherland. He returned to Malaysia in 2011 and working for Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS until presently. His main research interest is in multiphase flow in pipe and porous media, coupled geomechanics and application of Machine Learning in industries.

Hafiz Muhammad Ali is currently working as an associate professor of Mechanical Engineering and an affiliate of Interdisciplinary Research Center for Renewable Energy and Power Systems (IRC-REPS) at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia. He is the recipient of Highly Cited Researcher Award in the Field of Engineering 2021, 2022 by Web of Science Clarivate, this is a highly competitive award and shows the impact of the recipient research work as being top 1% cited papers in the world. Stanford composite score (C-Score) ranks him among the top 20 impactful researchers of the world in categories of energy and mechanical engineering. Being a renowned scientist in the field of thermal engineering, he is an active editorial member at several esteemed and high ranked international journals, notably Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry (Springer), Heat Transfer (Wiley) and Applied Nanoscience (Springer).
