Vasileios Fotopoulos is Associate Professor in Structural and Functional Plant Biology and head of the CUT Plant Stress Physiology Group established in 2008 (www.plant-stress.weebly.com). His main scientific research focuses on the study of nitro-oxidative signaling cascades in plant stress responses, while emphasis is given in the development of chemical and nanomaterial priming technologies towards the amelioration of abiotic stress factors and promotion of plant growth. To date, Dr. Fotopoulos is the author of 101 scientific papers published in peer-reviewed journals (h-index=47; >7800 citations; Source: Google Scholar), as well as 7 book chapters. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief in Plant Stress, as well as Associate Editor in Plant Molecular Biology, and Plant Physiology and Biochemistry.

Gholamreza Gohari is Associate Professor in Horticultural Science at University of Maragheh, Iran. His research interests are focused on the application of new engineered nanoparticles as smart carriers for enhanced efficiency of bioactive compounds. His recent projects have yielded encouraging results on plant tolerance to abiotic and biotic stress conditions and improvement of horticultural crop quality. With over 60 papers published to date, more than 50% of which are in Q1 journals, he has ongoing collaborations with different research groups in several countries, including Cyprus, Poland, Greece, Chine, Turkey, Italy, Hungary, Brazil, Mexico, and Spain. His work has received over 1360 citations, and his H-index is 19. He is also a member of the editorial board of several scientific journals, including Plant Stress, Frontiers in Plant Science, Folia Horticulture, and BMC Plant Biology.

Engineered Nanoparticles in Agriculture describes synthesis, properties, and application of nanoparticles to crops at pre- and post-harvest level. The book is ideal for research scientists and graduate students working in the area of plant science and nanotechnology. It will also appeal to agrochemical companies interested in new approaches to improve crops quality and yield.
