This book evaluates a number of serious technical challenges related to the integration of renewable energy sources into the power grid using the DIgSILENT PowerFactory power system simulation software package. It provides a fresh perspective on analyzing power systems according to renewable energy sources and how they affect power system performance in various situations. The book examines load flow, short-circuit, RMS simulation, power quality, and system reliability in the presence of renewable energy sources, and presents readers with the tools needed for modeling, simulation, and analysis for network planning. The book is a valuable resource for researchers, engineers, and students working to solve power system problems in the presence of renewable energy sources in power system operations and utilities.

lt;p>Morteza Zare Oskouei was born in Osku, Iran, in 1991. He received his BSc degree from Azarbaijan Shahid Madani University, Tabriz, Iran, in 2013, and the MSc degree from Sahand University of Technology, Tabriz, Iran, in 2015, both in Electrical Power Engineering (all with honors). He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Tabriz, Tabriz, Iran. He is a team member of the Smart Energy Systems Lab at University of Tabriz. His research interests include demand response programs, energy management, renewable energy sources, and electricity market.

Behnam Mohammadi-Ivatloo has obtained his BSc degree in electrical engineering from University of Tabriz, and MSc and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran (all with honors). After that, he joined the University of Tabriz as a faculty member, where he has promoted to be Professor at Power Engineering Department and head of the Smart Energy Systems Lab. Before joining the University of Tabriz, he was a research associate at Institute for Sustainable Energy, Environment and Economy, University of Calgary, Canada. He is working as a senior research fellow at Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark. His main areas of interest are renewable energies, micro grid systems, and smart grids.
