This collection of original contributions offers a practical approach to low-power analogue and digital circuit theory and design, illustrated with important applications and examples.
"Leading experts in the field present this collection of original contributions as a practical approach to low-power analog and digital circuit theory and design, illustrated with important applications and examples. LOW-VOLTAGE/LOW-POWER INTEGRATED CIRCUITS AND SYSTEMS features comprehensive coverage of the latest techniques for the design, modeling, and characterization of low-power analog and digital circuits. LOW-VOLTAGE/LOW-POWER INTEGRATED CIRCUITS AND SYSTEMS will help you improve your understanding of the trade-offs between analog and digital circuits and systems. It is an invaluable resource for enhancing your designs. This book is intended for senior and graduate students. It is also intended as a key reference for designers in the semiconductor and communication industries. Highlighted applications include: * Low-voltage analog filters * Low-power multiplierless YUV to RGB based on human vision perception * Micropower systems for implantable defibrillators and pacemakers * Neuromorphic systems * Low-power design in telecom circuits"

About the Editors... Edgar Sanchez--Sinencio is a professor of electrical engineering at Texas A&M University and editor--in--chief of the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II. He has received both the Darlington and Guillemin--Cauer awards from the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society. His main research interests concern solid--state circuits, including RF communication circuits. Dr. Sanchez--Sinencio is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers for his contributions on monolithic analog filters. Andreas G. Andreou is a professor of electrical and computer engineering and computer science at Johns Hopkins University. In both 1989 and 1991, Dr. Andreou received the Applied Physics Laboratory R. W. Hart Prize for his work on integrated circuits for space applications. In 1995 and again in 1997, he received the Myril B. Reed Best Paper Award for his work on the silicon retina and low--power integrated circuits. His research interests include electron devices, very large--scale integrated circuits, sensory communication, and physics of computation. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
