Aviation Fuels provides up-to-date data on fuel effects on combustion performance and use of alternative fuels in aircraft. This book covers the latest advances on aviation fuel technologies, including alternative fuels, feedstocks and manufacturing processes, combustion performance, chemical modeling, fuel systems compatibility and the technical and environmental challenges for implementing the use of alternative fuels for aviation. Aviation fuel and combustion researchers, academics, and program managers for aviation technologies will value this comprehensive overview and summary on the present status of aviation fuels.

Dr. Bhupendra Khandelwal is Associate Professor for fuels and combustion at The University of Alabama, USA. He earned his Ph.D. in Gas Turbine Combustion area at Cranfield University, UK in 2012. His research focuses on combustion, emissions and performance of alternative fuel to be used in gas turbine engines and other combustion systems. Prior to this position, Dr. Khandelwal held a position of assistant professor (lecturer) at the University of Sheffield in the Low Carbon Combustion Centre (LCCC). He was leading combustion and emissions research areas at LCCC. Dr. Khandelwal has received numerous awards and citations for excellence in research including awards from The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) and American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). He serves as technical area organizer, reviewer and associate editor of various international conferences, journals and funding agencies.
