Prof. Dr. Rolando Cardenas: Received his PhD in Theoretical Physics and conducts the (very) interdisciplinary Planetary Science Laboratory at Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas since its foundation. In the decade of 2000’s was recipient of annual awards of the Cuban Academy of Sciences in three occasions for research on Theoretical Cosmology. In 2016 was the main contributor for such award for works on Astrobiology and Earth Sciences. In 2013 the Cuban Council of State awarded him with Carlos J. Finlay Order, the highest in the country for research activity. In 2016 also received the Honorary Distinction of the Minister of Higher Education for Research. His research work is in the (broad) area of mathematical modelling of natural environments, at different spatial-temporal scales. Prof. Dr. Oscar Parra: Oscar Parra is biologist and professor at the Natural Resources and Oceanographic Sciences Faculty and founder director of the Environmental Sciences Centre of the University of Concepción (Concepción, Chile). He is a very experienced researcher in the use of standard physical, chemical and biological methods of water ecosystems, specialized on taxonomy and ecology of freshwater phytoplancton and phytobenthos. His research cover interdisciplinary studies of freshwater systems (lakes and rivers) on a watershed scale. He is the author of about 200 scientific papers, book articles and books and he has edited a number of books dealing with aquatic biota and management of water resources in Chile. He has participated as a leader of a number of national and international collaborative scientific projects and as a consultant of national and international institutions and organizations, e.g. UNESCO (Albania, Libia, Costa Rica), Brasil, Uruguay, Argentina). Funding agencies for his research include: PNUD UNESCO, European Comission, Italian Goverment, Germany Goverment, Chilean National Science Comission. Prof. Dr. Osmel Martin: Received his PhD in Theoretical Physics and conducts research at the Planetary Science Laboratory at Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas since its foundation. In 2016 he was one of the main contributors for the award of Cuban Academy of Sciences for works on Astrobiology and Earth Sciences. His current research work is in the (broad) area of mathematical modelling of natural environments, at different spatial-temporal scales, with some emphasis in Atmospheric Sciences and Physical and Biological Oceanography.Vladimir Mochalov is senior researcher at the Institute of Cosmophysical Research and Radio Wave Propagation ( Paratunka, Russia ). He received the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics. His research interests include networks structure synthesis, artificial intelligence, bio-inspired algorithms, query answering systems and Big Data.
