Panikkar (1894-1963), an Indian historian, statesman and diplomat. lt;p>Mauro Elli is Associate Professor of Contemporary History in the Department of Historical Studies at the University of Milan, Italy. He is a member of the Italian Society for the Study of Contemporary History (SISSCO), the Society for the History of Technology (SHOT) and the research unit, Sorbonne Identités, Relations Internationales et Civilisations de l'Europe (SIRCE). His research focuses on the reciprocal feedback between foreign policy and technology during the Cold War.

Rita Paolini is in charge of research support in the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology at Politecnico di Milano, Italy. Prior to her career in science and technology, she was a Research Fellow at the University of Milan, Department of Historical Studies - where she obtained her PhD in Contemporary History - and has been affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India, where her studies revolved around Indian history, historiography and foreign policy between national movement and the Nehruvian era.
