Gary Sterne is a keen collector of militaria and was a co-founder of The Armourer and Skirmish Magazines. He is the author of a number of WW2 historical books covering D-Day, the US Army Rangers and the battle for the Maisy Batteries. He has a fascination for untold stories from WW2 - many of which still still lie hidden and unread in historical archives - simply waiting to be found. In recent years his research has uncovered significant documents which have changed the way historians now view the Pointe du Hoc battle. He has a particular interest in uncovering documents that tell the inventiveness and bravery of units from both side - to enable us to greater understand the men and their missions.
