Mirko Bendig, born in Soltau in 1980, studied International Economics at the University of Göttingen where he was a PhD candidate at the Department of Economics between 2007 and 2011. During this time he also worked as a consultant in several consulting and research projects in Germany and abroad. Presently, the author is working for an internationally operating research and consulting company on economic development and microfinance issues.
