Hall Cannon and Miles Refo were both born in the United States but fell in love with New Zealand while on holiday in 2004. They relocated to Christchurch from New York City in 2006 to purchase Otahuna, and embarked on a multi-year journey of renovations - both planned and unplanned. They have overseen the adaptation of the estate to a commercially successful business and the coninuous redevelopment of its historic gardens. Simon Farrell-Green is a well-known author, food critic and writer. His 'Eat Here Now' online restaurant guide offers local recommendations on what and where to eat. He writes for a number of leading magazines including Metro, KiaOra and Cuisine.
