A book of strong and masculine flavours, Manly Food is a feast of high quality recipes and expert instruction, designed to appeal to the tastes and interests of men. With recipes that are straightforward, fun and easy to cook and superbly blokey photographs that bring cooking to life, Manly Food is the ideal companion for the male food lover.

18 chapters are arranged by areas of interest, such as 'Pure Meat', 'Wild and Foraged', 'Manly Cocktails' or 'Chilli and Spice' - or occasion, such as 'Grill and Barbeque', 'Fast Food', 'TV Dinners' and 'Hangover Cures' giving the reader a book for entertaining crowds, finding impressive menus for two, or just cooking the perfect burger. There are 200 recipes, each accompanied by easy-to-follow instructions, and over 100 colour photographs, making Manly Food both exciting to look at and easy to use.

The wide range of options for cooking and preparing meat, fish, salads, cocktails and desserts appeals to the adventurous cook interested in foraging for the perfect 'Manly Salad' or anyone who just wants a simple old-fashioned 'Manly Dessert'. The book also contains a butchery guide, offering the chance to learn how to make bacon or prepare a whole roast suckling pig, as well as other useful tips on building a barbecue from scratch or sharpening knives, making this title the perfect toolkit for all things that are manly and culinary.

Manly Food offers readers the first genuinely complete companion for those who love hearty, masculine food.

Simon Cave is a food writer and blogger at caveskitchen.com. He credits his food-obsessed, well-travelled parents with teaching him how to cook. Simon is passionate about seeking out and cooking quality food from around the world, be it the humble street food of Asia or the grand and complex dishes of French haute cuisine. But first and foremost, his love is for straightforward home-prepared food done well. He believes that 'if cooking isn't fun, you are not doing it right'. Simon lives in London with his wife and two young daughters. He is currently teaching his children how to follow his passion and love to cook.
