Kate Davis is a photographer who specializes in raptors and the author of Raptors of the West (978-0-87842-575-4, winner of the 2011 National Outdoor Book Award, Design and Artistic Merit Category), Falcons of North America (978-0-87842-553-2), and Raptors of the Rockies (978-0-87842-461-0). She is the founder of Raptors of the Rockies, an educational nonprofit that houses eighteen nonreleasable and falconry birds. Davis has served as the Chair of the Education Committee for the Raptor Research Foundation and is currently Conference Chair. She lives in Montana.
