The emphasis, however, is on newer creations, both the author's own - he is the creator of the respected blog Beyond the Shadow of a Stout (shadowofastout.com) - and ones inspired by cutting-edge bartenders from coast to coast. Howard and Ashley Stelzer are beer enthusiasts with excellent taste. They created the website ShadowOfAStout.com, where one can find all sorts of information about beer as well as their own recipes for beer cocktails. Ashley attended the Cordon Bleu and is now a food stylist and photographer. Howard, a former book publicist, is now a teacher. They live in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
