The one book that no stargazer should be without
The 2012 edition of the Yearbook of Astronomy celebrates Sir Patrick Moore's remarkable fifty-year tenure on the book with a selection of the best writing to have appeared in its pages, and a special picture section showing the most important and astonishing astronomical photographs from the era.
It also contains all of the usual excellent features: articles by some of the world's top astronomers, an authoritative collection of charts and astronomical data, and a month-by-month guide to events in the coming year: planets, eclipses, comets, meteors, nebulae and phases of the moon.
'The sort of book that beggars the reviewer's powers of expression . . . These charts are masterpieces of clarity and detail . . . Indispensable' Astronomy & Space
