The Masai Mara is quite simply, one of the greatest wildlife experiences inthe world. But strangely, until now, there has been no proper map of the Mara available to tourists. Maps have been on sale, but all are inaccurate, out-of-date or made with limited or no Global Positioning System (GPS) survey. The new Mara Map has been surveyed using Landsat 7 satellite imagery and GPS survey to fix roads, tracks and other features accurately. The cartographic expertise of Harvey Maps has been used to produce the final version. The guide contains 3 maps: The Mara Triangle, The Mara River & CentralPlains, Eastern Mara & Ngama Hills. The rest of the guide contains info on the ecozones, great migration, history & culture of the Maasai, travel & accommodation info.
