This is a delightful, sometimes wry look at life in Japan through the eyes of an accomplished illustrator. Through an eclectic collection of cartoon, Bill Mutranowski uses his own experience as an expatriate to poke fun at the situations foreigners often find themselves in after an extended stay. Each cartoon includes a narrative reflection in both English and Japanese. Light-hearted and amusing, it's an ideal gift for anyone who has visited or lived in Japan.
Bill Mutranowski was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and a career as an editor and publicist, he relocated to Japan where he has lived for the last 15 years. He lives in Yokohama where he works as a freelance illustrator and English teacher and draws editorial cartoons for the Japan Times Weekly.
