After the success of 'Don't Lean out the Window!', Stewart Ferris and Paul Bassett return for another tour of Europe by Inter-Rail, wreaking havoc in France, Holland, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
Follow the authors on their latest morally reprehensible trip around Europe. Experience the fatigue, the smells and the total lack of appreciation of the cultural pearl that is continental Europe. Discover how they played their part in making a Gendarme crash his police car; marvel at the undeserved adulation heaped upon them by the inhabitants of a small town in Provence; wince in embarrassment as they demonstrate how not to represent their nation when abroad. Don't Mention The War! follows the exploits of three young men as they gallivant across Europe gorging themselves on junkfood which is funded by their questionable ability as buskers. Provided you're not an anxious parent or a member of the clergy, or Belgian, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Austrian, Swiss, Eastern European, or American, Don't Mention The War! is guaranteed to make you laugh at least once.

Paul Bassett is not really a bigoted, xenophobic, fat bastard at all. He is not totally ignorant of culture, and does not hate to travel. He is a bass player and sometimes wears a hat. Stewart has written 14 books which have been published in 7 languages. He has been nominated as one of Company magazine's 50 Most Eligible Bachelors and one of Tatler's 200 Hottest Dates
