There are few things as sweet as throwing some clothes, your togs, your jandals, some good sounds and your best mate into the car and shouting, 'ROADIE!' as you leave your everyday life behind.
Chuck this book in while you're at it.
Let's Get Lost is a guide to the real New Zealand that few of us get a chance to explore. In its pages, you'll pass through the sausage capital of New Zealand, take a dip in a secret lake, visit a village entirely populated by guinea pigs, share a yarn with many a local good bugger - and so much more.
Let's Get Lost will inspire you to get out there and take in some of the best this fantastic country has to offer.
Nicola McCloy is a Southlander whose parents instilled in her a love of the great Kiwi road trip. Sandwiched between two extroverted siblings, she grew up spending a lot of time looking out the window of the Datsun 180B and wondering what was happening in the big, wide world of the South Island. Since then, she's made it her mission to find out, with particular focus on the mediums of pies, suspension bridges and transport museums. She has written more than 20 books, all telling different New Zealand stories and including the bestsellers Whykickamoocow, Made in New Zealand and The Speight's Southern Man Cookbook. Jane King is a recently minted New Zealander, having spent her formative years in the Garden of England, otherwise known as the county of Kent. An avid photographer, she loves nothing more than getting out and exploring the beaches, bush and beauty this country has to offer - but not without having coffee first. Let's Get Lost is Jane's third book, following The Kiwi Cyclist's Guide to Life and The Hauraki Gulf- An Iconic Playground. In her other life as a digital producer Jane has written website content for TVNZ, NZME. and Tourism New Zealand.
