Over the years, the Portugal guide has received attention from a range of experts. Alice Martin, from the BBC's Portuguese Service, brought a journalists's eye to the country as it developed in the wake of EC membership. Lisbon residents, Luis da Costa, Fernanda Valenta and Jorge Bochechas, added their own native's view of all things Portuguese.
