Through Tibet to Everest

A first-hand account, originally published in 1927, of early British attempts on Everest from 1913 up to and including the fatal 1924 attempt when Mallory and Irvine died. The book includes the author's original photographs, and gives a picture of Tibetan life before the Chinese. The book should be of special interest to climbers and trekkers who are once more permitted to enter Tibet.
