There are also suggestions of places to see within a day's journey and ratings according to the difficulty of the terrain as well as information on specialist subjects. The author has lived in Majorca since 1961 and has travelled all over Spain. He writes here of the mountains and deserts, the Mediterranean coasts and the valleys of Galicia, describing the diversity of its wildlife - from eagles to flamingoes and chamois to wild cats and wolves.
