Michael Delahunty started photography at age fourteen with a Felicette camera bought for GBP3.26. At age fifteen he had two pictures accepted for the Irish Salon of Photography, when only five from Ireland were exhibited. Now semi-retired, he is realising his dream of being a photographer, with significant success, including the IPF gold medal for best picture in Ireland in 2007. Concentrating on landscape photography, he combines it with hill walking. This gave him the opportunity to amass a collection of photographs of Wicklow in all it seasons and all its moods. He lives in County Wicklow.
