Leslie Brokaw has been writing for Frommer's since 2006, authoring or contributing to recent editions of Frommer's Montreal Day by Day, Frommer's Canada, and Frommer's New England , as well as Frommer's Montreal & Quebec City . Toronto native Pamela Cuthbert is an award-winning food writer and editor published in Macleans, Saveur, The Walrus, The Toronto Star, The Economist, Common Dreams, and elsewhere. A past editor with Time Out Toronto , she has also contributed to other books, including The Edible City and the Slow Food Almanac . She lives in her hometown with her husband and young son. An Ottawa native, James Hale is a writer, editor and broadcaster with a keen interest in urban life around the world. He divides his time between providing communications counsel to government and corporate clients and writing about jazz for publications that include DownBeat and Signal To Noise . He also maintains a music blog, jazzchronicles.blogspot.com. Andrew Hempstead is a travel writer and photographer who has traveled widely throughout Canada from his home in Banff, Alberta. In addition to this book, he has authored guidebooks to Alberta, Atlantic Canada, British Columbia, the Canadian Rockies, Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Vancouver, and has co-authored guidebooks to Australia and New Zealand. Paul Karr has written, co-authored, or edited more than 25 guidebooks, including Vancouver & Victoria For Dummies; Frommer's Nova Scotia, New Brunswick & Prince Edward Island; Frommer's New England; Frommer's Vermont, New Hampshire & Maine; and Frommer's Maine Coast. He also has contributed to Frommer's Irreverent Guides to Rome and Vancouver. In addition, he has written articles for Sierra and Sports Illustrated, among other publications. He divides his time among New England, both coasts of Canada, Europe, and Japan. A full-time writer who globe-trots and scribes for a living, author Chris McBeath makes her home in the islands of the Pacific Northwest. Chris tweets, blogs, and maintains a travel website (www.greatestgetaways.com) on her various travels and contributes to publications worldwide. Bill McRae was born and raised in rural eastern Montana, though he spent the better years of his youth attending university in Great Britain, France, and Canada. He has previously written about Montana, Utah, and Oregon for Moon Publications and about the Pacific Northwest and Seattle for Lonely Planet. Other publications he has written for include National Geographic , Microsoft Expedia, and 1,000 Places to See in the U.S.A. and Canada Before You Die for Workman Press. Bill also is co-author of Frommer's British Columbia & the Canadian Rockies . Kirsten Murphy is a self-taught photojournalist who grew up in Vancouver, lived in Zimbabwe and now calls Yellowknife home. Her photos appear in the Globe and Mail , National Post and Up Here magazine. She is a regular contributor to Canadian Press Images and was the official blogger for Tropicana's Arctic Sun commercial in January 2010. For the last two years, Kirsten hosted an award winning, syndicated radio show about Arctic climate change on CKLB Radio in Yellowknife. Donald Olson is a novelist, playwright, and travel writer. Donald Olson's travel stories have appeared in The New York Times, Travel & Leisure, Sunset, National Geographic books, and many other publications. He is the author of England For Dummies (winner of the 2002 Lowell Thomas Travel Writing Award for Best Guidebook), London For Dummies, Germany For Dummies, Frommer's London from $95 a Day, Frommer's Portable London from $95 a Day, and Frommer's Irreverent Guide to London. Barbara Ramsay Orr has been writing about world travel, food, wine, and culture for over 20 years and is still gobsmacked by the beauty of her home turf. Her work has appeared in most of the major publications in Canada, in international publications, and online. She maintains a trio of blogs that document her encounters with food, with the world, and with the local scene in Niagara, and has won awards for both her writing and her travel photography. Christie Pashby has been writting for Frommer's for a decade, contributing to titles like Frommer's Argentina, Frommer's Chile, and Best Hikes in British Columbia and authoring Frommer's Banff and the Canadian Rockies Day by Day and Frommer's Alberta.
