Since 1980, China has successively acceded to the major international conventions on intellectual property, such as the WIPO Convention, the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property, the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works and the Copyright Convention. Whether in terms of domestic legislation or participation in external cooperation for the international protection of intellectual property, China, as a developing country, is moving forward at a fairly rapid pace.
