Patent law in Mongolia: A study in consideration of general law frameworks for rule of law and for business freedom
This book analyses the law and justice reforms in Mongolia since 1990 for transition to the rule of law-based administration and judiciary and for establishing a free market oriented business law system. Patent law was chosen as a unique illustration of how far the free market oriented law principles have become commonplace in the Mongolian private law system. The connection between patent law and general civil law regulations of property, contract and tort laws, taken alongside the functional link between patent law and competition law, enable a deeper understanding of the challenges of the law reforms in Mongolia since 1990. The book includes analyses of the property protection and free market regulations in the Constitution of Mongolia, and describes the development of the rule of law-based administration in relation to the Intellectual Property Office of Mongolia.
