Dr Thainswemong Choudhury, an assistant professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi, situated in Himachal Pradesh, India, brings a wealth of expertise to the field. Holding both master’s and PhD degrees from the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology in Guwahati, his research focuses on the comprehensive assessment and retrofitting of masonry structures. With a specialized emphasis on utilizing surface-mounted steel bands, Dr. Choudhury’s work encompasses hands-on experimental studies and the development of full-scale models. He is a distinguished member of ASCE, the Institute of Engineers (India), and the Indian Society of Earthquake Technology. Dr Raviteja KVNS, an assistant professor at SRM University AP, India, holds a doctorate in geotechnical engineering from IIT Hyderabad and was previously a SIRE Fellow at the University of Illinois Chicago. His research focuses on sustainable landfill system design, UAV-based landfill monitoring, and geotechnical engineering employing reliability and probabilistic frameworks. He is a member of ASCE, Indian Geotechnical Society, and the Institute of Engineers (India). Dr Lakhveer Singh, an associate professor at Sardar Patel University, Mandi (Himachal Pradesh), India, is a leading figure in sustainable research. His focus areas include energy production, bio?electrochemical systems, wastewater treatment, and nanomaterial synthesis. Singh’s impact is evident through his 30 edited books, 130 high-impact papers, and his editorial role at Biomass Conversion and Biorefineries, published by Springer. Dr Elisa Bertolesi, a senior lecturer in civil engineering at Cardiff University, is dedicated to ensuring the safety and resilience of critical infrastructures. Her research, recognized internationally, focuses on identifying collapse risks and assessing structure robustness. With numerous publications in high?impact journals and prestigious awards, such as the Postgraduate Project Prize from the International Masonry Society, Dr. Bertolesi actively promotes diversity and inclusion in academia. She is also a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
