Hydrogen Technology: Fundamentals and Applications relates theoretical concepts to practical case studies in the field of hydrogen technology with an emphasis on materials and their applications. Providing an understanding of the different factors involved, such as the availability of raw material, location, viable process and production scale, and economic criteria, this book will especially be of interest to engineers, scientists, and students in the field of hydrogen technology.

Moisés R. Cesario has a PhD degree in physicochemical sciences, with specialization in Materials Chemistry in Heterogeneous Catalysis, from the University of Strasbourg (France) in co-supervision with the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil).?He has authored articles published in journals and conference proceedings, patents, books and book chapters. His research interests include oxygen storage materials, catalytic nanomaterials for fuel cells and reforming reactions for hydrogen production. Dr. Allan Araújo obtained PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN/Brazil), focusing on mixed ionic-electronic conductors (MIECs) for energy conversion applications such as solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) and solid oxide electrolyser cells (SOECs). Dr. Allan Araújo is currently a post-doc researcher in TEMA/University of Aveiro (Portugal).His research interests are especially related to solid state electrochemistry and modelling of experimental data (transport processes in the time and frequency domain). He has published around 30 peer reviewed papers and 6 book chapters and is co-supervisor of 3 PhD students and 1 master's student. Dr. Francisco Loureiro obtained an industrial PhD in Engineering of Refining, Petrochemistry and Chemistry from 5 top-ranked universities in Portugal and a national chemical company, with a special grade of distinction (cum laude). He has published several peer reviewed publications and has partipated in several national/international research projects both as a team member or as a principal investigator, having supervised both MsC and PhD students, as well as post-doctoral researchers. Currently, he is a doctorate researcher working for the Centre for Mechanical Technology and Automation (TEMA) at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Aveiro (Portugal). He Dr. Loureiro has over 10 years of experience in energy conversion systems, including Fuel Cells/Electroyzers and Battery devices. Prof. Daniel Macedo has devoted the last decade of his academic career to the study and improvement of ceramic and composite, catalytic materials for energy conversion in electrochemical devices. He is author of several scientific papers published in conferences and journals of international circulation, book chapters, and patents. He is an adjunct professor at the Department of Materials Engineering of the Federal University of Paraíba (Brazil).
