Presents a range of polymer NMR spectra and provides information on polymer microstructure, which results from normal and abnormal addition modes, rising from secondary reactions, as well as tacticity or stereochemical arrangement of monomer units in the main chain. This work includes a total of 453 spectra and contains 477 references.
This CD-ROM version makes available an updated edition of the previously published fourth (hardback) edition of this reference work and presents a range of polymer NMR spectra. The material included in this work provides information on polymer microstructure or fine structure, which results from normal and abnormal addition modes, rising from secondary reactions, as well as tacticity or stereochemical arrangement of monomer units in the main chain. The CD-ROM contains 1H and 13C NMR spectra of soluble (1H and 13C) and swollen gelled 13C polymers. Appropriate NMR analysis conditions are specified and all resonances, often obtained at different frequencies, are interpreted, together with details concerning the homopolymer (tacticity, molecular weight, chain ends, etc) or copolymer (composition distribution of comonomer units etc) skeletons. After the addition of numerous spectra, this version of the work includes a total of 453 spectra; the comprehensive bibliography contains 477 references. The polymer spectra are grouped in families: acrylics, amides, dienes; esters; ethers; olefins; siloxanes; styrenes and their derivatives; urethanes; vinyls; and vinylidenes.
The NMR data of the different families are easily accessible through four keys.

The principal author, Quang-Tho Pang, has recently retired as research manager at the French CRNS, and also taught in the Faculty of Science in the University of Lyons. Dr Pang is author of 130 papers in international journals, and of 4 books on proton and carbon NMR spectra of polymers.
