Helps practitioners recognize a diagnosis that can lead to more detailed exploration. Based on morphology rather than pathogenesis, this title illustrates each disease with approximately 5 color photomicrographs and is depicted within the framework of an algorithmic classification based on location, pattern and cell type.
This brilliantly presented atlas is designed to complement Lever's Histopathology of the Skin, Eighth Edition. Abundantly illustrated in vivid full color, the atlas allows practitioners to recognize a diagnosis that can lead to a more detailed exploration of the topic. Based on morphology rather than pathogenesis, each disease is typically illustrated with 5 color photomicrographs and is depicted within the framework of an algorithmic classification based on location, pattern, and cell type. Culled from an enormous volume of cases, this important collection of images represents material from the last several decades up to newly collected slides, including many from cases of a more obscure nature and normally unavailable. Most images have been photographed on a Zeiss Axiophot Photomicroscope -- allowing images that represent the state-of-the-art in optics. Clinical photographs are liberally included, offering informative and enlightening material for non-dermatologist pathologists. A CD-ROM containing Lever's Histopathology of the Skin, Eighth Edition and Synopsis and Atlas of Lever's Histopathology of the Skin is available. See Media Products Section for details.
Either book can be purchased together with the CD-ROM at a special low price
