Dr. Evgeni Sharkov is a specialist in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery and co-owner of the Private Aesthetic Clinic VDERM in Sofia, Bulgaria. After graduating from the Medical University in Sofia, Bulgaria, he wrote a PhD on Body Contouring in Obese Patients and Patients After Massive Weight Loss. Subsequently he was Head of the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Department at "Alexandrovska" University Hospital, Sofia, Bulgaria. He was the official ICOPLAST (International Confederation of Plastic Surgery Societies) representative of postgraduate doctors in plastic surgery of Bulgaria from 2016-2019. In 2018, Dr. Sharkov received an ICOPLAST Europe award for his presentation on Body Contouring. Dr. Sharkov is a certified trainer in InMode radiofrequency face and body lift procedures - FaceTite, AccuTite, BodyTite - for the area Europe and Middle East. Dr. Sharkov has been in the hair restoration field for 6 years and has been providing Smart Graft FUE treatments for 3 years. He is also a certified trainer for working with the Smart Graft FUE technique for hair restoration in Europe and Bulgaria. Dr. Sharkov's clinical work has culminated in numerous academic articles and presentations in the field of aesthetic surgery, including body contouring, on topics such as brachioplasty, upper body lift, buttock lift, and abdominoplasty, among others. In 2018, Dr. Sharkov received an award for his pressentation on body contouring from ICOPLAST Europe.
Dr. Sharkov is a member of the Bulgarian Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (BULAPRAS), a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) and a member of the International Alliance of Hair Restoration Surgeons (IAHRS). He practices in Sofia, Bulgaria and specializes exclusively in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.
