Robert E Bristow MD MBA is Professor and Chair of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of California, Irvine – Medical Center in Orange, California, USA. Professor Bristow’s primary clinical and research interests include the surgical management of advanced-stage gynecologic cancer and the patterns of health care delivery for women with gynecologic cancer. Dr. Bristow is extensively published in the field of ovarian cancer surgical research and he is also a deputy editor of the journal Gynecologic Oncology. Beth Y Karlan MD is Director of the Women’s Cancer Research Institute and the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, California, USA. Professor Karlan’s research interests include molecular biomarker discovery, inherited cancer susceptibility and translational research efforts focused towards innovative treatment strategies for ovarian cancer. She has served as President of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists and in 2006 was named an American Cancer Society Early Detection Clinical Research Professor. Professor Karlan is the Editor-in-Chief of Gynecologic Oncology. Dennis S Chi MD is Professor and Deputy Chief of the Gynecology Service, Department of Surgery, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, New York, USA. Dr Chi’s primary research interests include the correlation of radiographic evaluation and operative findings in gynecologic malignancies and the utilization of innovative and advanced surgical techniques to improve outcomes for women with early, advanced, or recurrent gynecologic cancers. He is on the editorial board of the journals Journal of Oncology and The Oncologist and has served as the president of the Society of Memorial Gynecologic Oncologists and the Metropolitan Gynecologic Cancer Society.
