Dr. Al Rundio is the Associate Dean for Post Licensure Nursing Programs at Drexel University and has taught across the curriculum in BSN and Graduate Nursing Programs. The co-author of the Nurse Executive Review and Resource Manual published by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (2010), Dr. Rundio has also authored The Doctor of Nursing Practice: The Nurse Executive Role for Jones and Bartlett Publishers, as well as Basic Budgeting Concepts for New Nurse Managers for Sigma Theta Tau Publications (2012). In addition to the aforementioned accolades, Dr. Rundio is also the only nurse to serve on the editorial board of the most recent edition of the Merck Manual – 2nd & 3rd Home Editions, where he was the first nurse to author a chapter on health promotion in collaboration with a physician colleague. An experienced clinician, administrator, and educator, Dr. Rundio is the former Vice President of Nursing at Shore Memorial Hospital (now Shore Medical Center) in New Jersey. Because of his outstanding dedication and expertise in the nursing field, Dr. Rundio was awarded the Governor’s Nursing Merit Award for Advanced Practice Nursing in New Jersey in 1999 by former New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman.
