Of interest to researchers and teachers (academic and industrial) interested in the auditory system (includes engineers, physicists, mathematicians, physiologists, biologists), clinical otolaryngologists and audiologists, this title features the proceedings presented at the 11th International Mechanics of Hearing Workshop.
These proceedings would be of interest to researchers and teachers (academic and industrial) interested in the auditory system (includes engineers, physicists, mathematicians, physiologists, biologists), clinical otolaryngologists and audiologists. Contributions to the 11th International Mechanics of Hearing Workshop discuss the most recent findings and theories of peripheral auditory function. With the aim of promoting the advancement and integration of experimental and theoretical studies of the mechanics of hearing, the Workshop brings together leading researchers working at the molecular, cellular, and systems levels using biological, mathematical, and engineering techniques. The Workshop focuses on the biomechanics, biophysics, and cellular/molecular physiology of the peripheral auditory system, including the mechanics of non-mammalian auditory and vestibular systems, as well as other biological mechano-transducing systems. Summaries and transcripts of tutorial and discussion sessions are also included.
